The VDP.GROSSE LAGE® (KALK-)SCHUPEN is a prime southeast facing parcel within the Sonnenberg vineyard located southwest of Bönnigheim. The Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) vines grow on highly calcareous Gipskeuper and weathered limestone. The soils are clayey and heavy. The vineyard is sloped to steep with up to 40 percent gradient. The GL (KALK-)SCHUPEN is well protected from wind and warms easily.
