KUPFERGRUBE, Schloßböckelheim | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®

The terraced vineyard slopes of the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® KUPFERGRUBE are in a spectacular location directly next to a volcanic cliff. The site has a south to southwest exposition and a 30 to 70 percent slope gradient. The dark, mineral-rich, weathered volcanic soils with a high share of fine earth and rock warm rapidly. The soil is loose and very well-drained, which can lead to dryness in summer. The vineyard lies at 120 to 250 metres. Riesling and Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) grow here.
