IM GROSSEN GARTEN, Großkarlbach | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®

The wind-protected, steep south slope and versatile lime-dominated soil structure distinguish the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® IM GROSSEN GARTEN. This filet parcel of the VDP.ERSTEN LAGE® Grosskarlbacher Burgweg is situated in an ancient, intact river valley in which the Eckbach tributary has deposited diverse sediments like pebbles, sand and loess over a limestone basement. The soils vary between softer and more solid limestone, massive limestone rock and various sediments. The vineyard has existed for a very long time and after its restructuring in 1971, it was first entered again into the land parcel registry in 2014 and is since then a VDP.GROSSE LAGE®.
