The south facing VDP.GROSSE LAGE® WOLFSHÖHLE lies well protected in the Steegertal side valley of the Mittelrhein. Mostly Riesling grows on the steep 50 to 60 percent slope. The vineyard drops from 200 down to 100 metres a.s.l. The soil is medium heavy clayey slate and crystalline schist, which warms well. The GL WOLFSHÖHLE comprises approximately 20 hectares.
