MANDELPFAD, Dirmstein | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®

The VDP.GROSSE LAGE® MANDELPFAD is the filet piece of the Mandelpfad vineyard. It lies at 120 - 140 metres a.s.l. with a 10 – 20 % south-facing slope. A bordering valley basin protects the site from west winds and allows the vineyard to warm easily in summer. Limestone and porous loess comprise the soils of the GL MANDELPFAD. These soils and the massive limestone plate below, provide good water availability even in dry years. The predominant grape variety is Riesling.
