HÖLLBERG, Siefersheim | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®




The Siefersheimer Horn protects the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® HÖLLBERG from the wind from the west. The site is located on a forested slope north of Siefersheim at 150 to 220 metres a.s.l. The HÖLLBERG GL covers until 30 percent slope gradient and has a southeast exposition. The soils are comprised of Rhyolite and are planted predominantly with Riesling. History: The location was mentioned in 1532 by the name "in der helle". Hell denotes a slight slope. This name is very common in West central Germany
