MÄUERCHEN, Geisenheim | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®

The VDP.GROSSE LAGE® MÄUERCHEN belongs to Geisenheim in the Rheingau. “Mauer” means wall and, as one would assume, the vineyard is indeed surrounded by walls. These walls shield the site from wind and also store warmth. The vineyard has a 10 % incline that faces southwest between 110 120 metres a.s.l. and is planted with Riesling. The soils are sandy loam with carbonate content and thus fertile and nutrition-rich.
