The very steep 50 to 50 percent gradient of the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® KUPP faces south and southwest and captures plenty of sunshine. The vineyard lies between 140 and 220 metres a.s.l. The soil is fine-grained, pale, weathered Devon slate with reddish interstratifications.
