The VDP.GROSSE LAGE® IM KAHLENBERG is located within the Kahlenberg vineyard northwest of Bad Kreuznach at 135 to 160 metres a.s.l. It is the filet piece in the Kahlenberg slope that faces south at a 10 – 40 % gradient. The soil is gravelly loam that provides warmth and good water availability. Rotliegend sandstone is also present in some places. Them main varieties grown here are Riesling and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir).
