REITERPFAD - HOFSTÜCK, Ruppertsberg | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®

Stone walls partially surround and cross through the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® REITERPFAD–HOFSTÜCK. They store heat and radiate warmth in the vineyard. The site lies at 150 to 160 metres a.s.l. and comprises ten hectares within the 77-hectare Reiterpfad. The climate in the south to east facing vineyard slope is protected from cold weather influences. The GL is one of the warmest sites in the Pfalz and its climate can be described as Mediterranean. The GL HOFSTÜCK sits on a limestone pedestal. The top soil is mixed with variegated sandstone, loess, and occasionally basalt. Nearly exclusively Riesling is planted here.
