ProWein 2025
Almost 80 VDP.Estates and more than 20 partners will be participating in ProWein Düsseldorf (March 16-18, 2025) at the VDP.stand in Hall 1. On an impressive 1,100 square meters, the VDP.Estates will present the new vintage.
Would you like to get a compact overview of top German wines from all growing regions? Then come to ProWein 2025 in Düsseldorf from March 16th to 18th, where the VDP.Stand in Hall 1 will once again be one of the most important meeting points for trade visitors from all over the world. Almost 80 VDP.Estates and more than 20 partners will present their current vintage collections on 1,100 square meters and invite visitors to taste them in the usual professional and inspiring atmosphere.
The VDP.Stand offers a unique opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of the best German wines – from the Mosel to Baden, from Saxony to the Palatinate. All VDP.Regions are represented and the winegrowers are personally available for expert discussions. The focus will be on the first impressions of the new vintage and an exchange about the challenges of the past growing season, particularly with regard to frost and climatic conditions. It is also an opportunity to get a first and comprehensive impression of the 2024 vintage, some of which has not even been bottled yet and will be available here for the first time.
Working with organic and sustainable methods documents the VDP.Estates' commitment to playing their part in preserving creation and running their businesses efficiently in the long term, even in a changing climate. For the first time, there will also be a separate organic stand within the joint stand, where organically certified VDP.Estates will present their wines and pass on their experience in organic viticulture. At the same time, many other wineries at the stand will be demonstrating how they integrate sustainable principles into their operations – be it through certification or other innovative measures.
Top-class partners and networks at the VDP.Stand
In addition to the VDP.Estates, long-standing partners and institutions will characterize the stand and offer trade visitors valuable insights into current developments in the gastronomy, wine trade and training sectors.
Zwiesel Kristallglas will be present with new products, while Gerolsteiner will play a central role as a partner to the hospitality industry. The Institute of Masters of Wine, Hochschule Geisenheim University and the Sommelier-Union Deutschland e.V. will also use the platform of the VDP.Stand as a meeting point for their members.
The Star Wine List (“The Guide to Great Wine Bars & Wine Restaurants”) invites visitors to exchange ideas with exciting presentations and becomes a meeting point for the international summer scene. The following panels will be offered at the SWL-stand:
- Sunday at 03:00 pm:
Star Wine List - which are the Top wine producers on European wine lists: With more than 3000 top wine lists in the Star Wine List universe, what does the data say about which producers are most in demand from sommeliers across the continent. - The SUSTAINABLE SILVANER masterclass will take place here on Monday, March 17th, at 1:30 pm. Harald Scholl (VINUM Germany) will discuss the special characteristics of this grape variety with the VDP.Estates Rudolf May, Rainer Sauer and Weingut Am Stein. Afterwards, small groups will go to the VDP.Stand, where the winegrowers will present their wines with impressive vintage depth.
