VDP: What is so special about your winery?
Dennis Geller: It is its history, its roots go back over 300 years to the beginning of the 18th century. Founded in 1849, our wines have always been among the most coveted and then also among the most valuable wines in the world. Today, the Reichsrat von Buhl estate still produces top-quality wines from the best vineyards in Deidesheim and Forst.
VDP: What is your winery philosophy?
Simone Frigerio: We focus on creating unique wines through a gentle processing which strives for a maximum of quality. At the same time, we respect a sustainable approach to nature and people.
VDP: To which wine style do you aspire?
Dennis Geller: The style of our wines should reflect a precise and clear characteristic of the vineyard and grape variety. In other words, the highest quality standards meet the best vineyard locations.
VDP: Do you have a favourite grape variety?
Simone Frigerio: The Riesling! Fortunately, a good 80% of our vineyards are planted with this versatile grape.
VDP: What are your next goals?
Simone Frigerio: We want to further improve quality and we are working meticulously on this. There are also a few unconventional ideas that still need some time …
VDP: Why should people visit your winery?
Dennis Geller: The best way to convince yourself of what we have to offer is on site. It is not least the friendliness and cordiality with which we welcome you to our winery. The entire Reichsrat von Buhl team is happy about every person who comes to visit us.
