LÄMMLER, Fellbach | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®

The south exposition and protected convex shape provides the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® LÄMMLER with a warm climate that is advantageous for the ripening of grapes. Cool evening breezes from the neighbouring Schurwald hills ensure crisp freshness and aroma. The GL is sloped to steep and climbs from 320 to 420 metres a.s.l. with up to a 60 percent gradient. Soils include weathered Keuper, Stuttgart Formation sandstone and, and coloured marl. The soil within the vineyard varies in heaviness and lime content. Predominantly Pinot varieties, Lemberger, and Riesling grow in the GL LÄMMLER. History: The name can be traced to the family Lämmle who were the owners of the 3-hectare vineyard for centuries. The historic border of the vineyard is about the same as the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE® LÄMMLER.
