VDP goes Wine Paris

VDP at Wine Paris 2026 – first-ever joint stand

For the very first time, VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter will be present at the international industry meeting Wine Paris with a joint stand: 25 VDP.Estates will showcase an outstanding cross-section from almost all VDP.Regions, offering a compelling overview of Germany’s top wines in all their stylistic diversity.

Join us February 9th - 11th 2026 at Hall 6 (International Hall), Stand C061. Take the opportunity to discover German fine wines at the highest level, meet our winegrowers in person and exchange insights on origin, style, vintages and craftsmanship.

Make the most of your visit: use Wine Paris’ official matchmaking tool to send your questions in advance and schedule meetings with the VDP.Estates – we look forward to connecting.

At our stand, we will put a spotlight on three signature categories from Germany worth discovering that are especially exciting for an international audience – and very much worth exploring in Paris. For each theme, we offer a guided walk-through tasting across the stand (you can find the times below), and we will also prepare a concise tasting sheet so you can explore independently – following a curated selection of wines to dig deeper into the key questions at your own pace.

Here are the themes and also the times for the guided tours (meeting point is always the VDP.Stand):

  • Monday, February 9th, 11am: We will explore the following question: How does “origin” show itself in Riesling, maybe the most typical german grape variety, across the full spectrum – from bone-dry to off-dry Prädikat – and what stays constant as style and ripeness change?
  • Tuesday, February 10th, 11am: Spätburgunder stands for elegance, fine structure and a pronounced sense of terroir but what is truly “German” in Pinot Noir and what is terroir and producer signature?
  • Wednesday, February 11th, 11am: Traditional bottle fermentation, finesse and real substance – an evolving category shaped by the VDP.SEKT.STATUTE and the VDP.Sekt seal, awarded only to VDP.Estate sparkling wines that meet rigorous criteria and pass certification tastings. We will have a look if Sekt is closer to wine or to method: Do we judge it primarily by still-wine logic (balance, origin, vintage) or by sparkling-wine logic (mousse, autolysis, dosage, consistency)?

Stop by or contact us ahead of time via event@vdp.de if you would like to schedule a tasting appointment or join one of our themed tours!

PS: You will find additional VDP.members at the German Wine Institute (DWI) booth. A complete list can be found here!
